- אָסֵי, אָסְיָא, אַסְיָאm. (preced.) physician, surgeon; also thaumaturg, (Essene, Therapeut?) Targ. Ex. 21:19; a. e. Y.Yoma III, 40d bot. חד א׳וכ׳ a certain thaumaturg in Sepphoris. Y.Taan.III, 66d אוקיר לאסייךוכ׳ honor thy physician (with presents) ere thou be in need of him. B. Kam.85a א׳ רחיקאוכ׳ if the surgeon is far off, the eye will be blind (before he arrives). Num.
